Pastrami Sandwich

For many, many decades I have been overdosing with Art's pastrami on rye, deli mustard only, and a double side of the best coleslaw anywhere. It is so good. When I return for a visit to SoCal to see family, Art's will be my first restaurant stop.

Brisket Melt

"I Want It All" Chicken Soup

My "bubbe" never owned a measuring cup but she owned a love of feeding those she adored. This soup gives more than great taste. It fills me with memories as fresh as it's goodness!

"I Want It All" Chicken Soup

The giant bowl of soup of my dreams! "I Want It All" - and I wish I could have it more often. This is a meal+ bowl of chicken soup with noodles, a large matzo ball, kasha & rice in a nice, clear broth. Two people could share this easily. The conundrum is the hubcap sized Kreplach is not part of this soup. The Kreplach covers the entire top of the bowl and is delicious! Kreplach or Matzo Ball fan - you can't go wrong here. Of course, I don't stop at soup - I get the Chopped Liver appetizer if I eat the soup, because "I Want It All"++ at Art's. I eat some on the side with my soup, then take the rest with me. The Chopped Liver is on the slightly sweeter side and pairs nicely with other meats. I tend to have Chopped Liver with Turkey - Delish!

Chicken Noodle Soup with Matzo Ball

Finally found a soup in town that is up to par with my Jewish grandmother's matzah ball soup. And the service was great - we sat outside with my dog and the server brought us water for the dog without us even asking! Definitely will be going back.
